Teapot ’86

The teapot is part of a comprehensive series of tabletop designed for Royal Selangor in Malaysia in the eighties. The company applied to Erik Magnussen wanting designs for the European market. Pewter is a soft material - this was underlined by soft edges who also served as bumpers. Protection against the heat was provided according to local tradition: rattan wrapping.
