Paustian was created by Ole and Monika Paustian as a premium design/furniture house in Copenhagen - starting in Ole Paustian’s fathers shop in Vesterbro. Later the couple had the architect of The Sidney Opera, Jørn Utzon, design a house for their business in Copenhagen North Harbour.
The friendship and cooperation between Erik Magnussen and the Paustian couple lead to several furniture and home accessory designs.
