Carl Hansen & Søn is a Danish furniture manufacturer with a strong tradition of craftsmanship and a collection that brings together some of the most significant works in Danish design. In 2026, Carl Hansen & Søn and Erik Magnussen Design began their collaboration with the launch of the EM82 Porcelight, originally designed by Erik Magnussen in 1982.
The pendant reflects Magnussen’s background as a ceramicist and his fascination with porcelain as both a structural and light-transmitting material. Made in white glazed bone china and available in two sizes, Porcelight is the first Erik Magnussen design to become part of the Carl Hansen & Søn collection. The collaboration brings Erik Magnussen’s design heritage into the context of Carl Hansen & Søn’s longstanding focus on craftsmanship, materials and enduring design.
