Hip flask
The hip flask for Royal Selangor in Malaysia is soft and shaped so it fits easily in the pocket.

Erik Magnussen had worked in Malaysia before when Royal Selangor contacted him. He enjoyed the culture and the climate, and he was ready to go back. After a few meetings in Kuala Lumpur with the owners and a very skilled model maker he settled down in Penang, on the waterfront, with his drawing board. Although there was a lot to learn about the material, he could draw upon his experience with ceramic and plastic moulding.
The relatively low moulding and labor cost allowed for introduction of an extensive collection of tabletop and desk objects, wine accessories and oil lamps.
The EM Collection met the company’s need for designs that would be attractive for the Western markets.
